Biography: I live in the redwoods outside Occidental with my son Nathan and husband Will.
Nathan is a first grader at Mary Collins School.
We enjoy reading, hiking, going to the beach, gardening and watching the Giants play.
I am currently a first/second grade teacher and love being a part of the Cherry Valley community of students, teachers, and parents.

Fran Lucas-Hill, Grades 1 and 2

Biography: Mrs. Hill earned her B.A. from San Francisco State University
in Home Economics with an emphasis in Foods and Nutrition.
She just recently graduated from Sonoma State University with her Master's Degree in Reading and Language Arts.
Besides teaching at MCS@CV, Mrs. Hill taught for four years at International School Manila in the Philippines.
She loves to travel and has traveled extensively through Asia and Europe.
She also lkes to scuba dive in warm waters.

Biography: Mrs. Howe teaches third grade at Mary Collins School.
She received her credential and Master's Degree from Dominican College and has been teaching since 1996.
She has a special interest in the philosophy of the schools in Reggio Emila, Italy.
Mrs. Howe's hobbies are reading, swimming, and driving her son from activity to activity.

Biography: I was born and raised in Petaluma.
I attended Grant, Petaluma Jr., and Petaluma High.
I received a BA, General Education credential, and Education Specialist credential at CSU, Chico.
I lived in Chico for nine years.
For six of those years, I played rugby for Chico State and for a city league.
For two years I taught in Palermo (near Oroville) in a K-2nd Resource/SDC classroom.
I now live in Petaluma! Home at last!
I enjoy good food, walking my dogs, reading for pleasure, and spending time with my family.
I look forward to being a part of the Mary Collins community!

I have taught K-6, with the exception of 5th grade.
Two children, both graduates of Cherry Valley bringing total years involved in MCCV to 14.
E njoys reading, cooking, crafts of all sorts, spending time with my 2 children, husband and labrador retriever.
