In order to preserve our mission and the special learning community fostered by our namesake and former principal Dr. Mary Collins, we became a charter school in 2002 under the Petaluma City School District. We have been growing our school to span grades K-8 by the 2004-2005 school year. In addition to the school charter and mission statement, there are several different information and data points that help paint a complete picture of our school.
The most helpful of these are listed below.

School Calendar
Cherry Valley's year-round calendar is broken into 9 week segments seperated by 3 week breaks. This type of calendar allows teachers and students to take a more measured approach to learning and retention.
